Sniping

I was playing Counter Strike 1.6 a few minutes earlier. It was fun! The thrill of the game is what really matters to me. I was trying out sniper rifles, The Magnum, Kreig Commando, and the Scout. And I found while sniping that all had their distinct characteristics.

Like the Magnum is a heavy “One Shot Kill” Gun. The Commando is a good, light, low recoil, and rapid loading sniper with low damage. And not much accurate,  I had to shot many fires on each opponents, and rarely got a head-shot. And Scout is something in between these two.

I also tried out long range firing of the Carbine. It is good, but I couldn’t perform well with that.

I am not new to FPS gaming, but I am new to this game. No wonder it is one of the world’s mos played multiplayer game. It is just pure fun!

Those who haven’t played it yet, I recommend to play.

Portal

Since the release of “The most original in recent days”, the World Of Goo, I didn’t find a original game play.

Two days earlier I got a chance to play Valve’s Portal. A very very very original game. Though it was released it was few days early, I enjoyed playing it.

Well, a review is worthless after all these days.

The game is short if you can understand the game. I took 6:30 hours at my first game play. The credits also were pretty beautiful, with the weird song!

The thing I like most in the Half-Life like games is the inhuman environments, and virtually absolute silence and solitude of the game character. Portal is a Half Life type game, it has some connection to Black Mesa in the story, which is a Rival Lab of Aperture Sciences (The Lab where the Game starts). Level design is very powerful, attractive, and you will feel brave when you play the game. And the story has a non-ending end.

You will have to use your innovative ideas to get the things done. And the enigmatic AI guide voice, will sometimes be your misery and source of motivation. I don’t think there is a need of a screenshot. Google it, and you will find a lot. And don’t forget to play it!

Rocket Launching Goodness!

I left the FPS area a while ago, I played a lot of RTS recently. Recently, a friend of mine asked for a game, and while searching through my CDs and DVDs I found a game “Unreal Tournament”. It was a very sheer delight, playing that game again. And while I have the Rocket Launcher, I feel happy…

In this post, I am going to list some classics, which will offer you some good rocket launching goodness…

Badminton…with a cellphone

Objective of the game: Be the last to give a missed call.

Game: Players will give missed call to each other alternatively. The first player to fall asleep will lose the game that night (or the last player to give missed call will win). Before every game, the initial call will be followed by two SMSes from each player to other, for the agreement of the game. Every missed call should be dispatched withing fifteen seconds of the last missed call from the other side. Late missed call will be render the giver a loser. And the other player win gain one point. The game should be started again with a new pair of SMS.

Scoring: Late calls : one point to the player who got the call, no call will give one point to the last caller. The scores from every night will be recorded. At the end of the month, the winner is decided. And new scorecard will be made for the new month.

Rules:

1. Phones should not be charged during the game.
2. If a phone loses battery, the player loses, and the other gains a point.
3. The game should be played during bedtime, thus their will be one winner and a loser.
4. The game should be played between two players in same time zone.
5. If both players fall asleep together, the game will end as draw.

Recommendations:

• The game should be played with players feeling a bit dizzy.
• The game should be played with cellphones with long battery life.
• The game might be addictive, so players are advised to take necessary precautions.
