Getting into a comic book…

Shawn Boswell: Why’d you let me race your car? You knew I was gonna wreck it.

Han: Why not?

Shawn Boswell: ‘Cause that’s a lot of money.

Han: I have money. What I need around me is trust and character. And one car in exchange for finding out what a man’s made of is a price I can live with.

———-

Han: Life’s simple, you make choices and you don’t look back.

(From ‘Fast and the Furious – Tokyo Drift’)

Alfred Pennyworth: [about Bruce’s gun collection] It’s a bagful of tragedy, sir. I can’t see how you could even bear to handle one.

Bruce Wayne: You have to know your enemy, Alfred. I’d never use one, but even I can appreciate the attraction of a gun. The heft. The sleekness. The cool steel. The precision. And the power. The power to change lives, history. The power of God.

———-

Lt. James Gordon: [Batman’s been bitten by Croc] Are you in pain?

Batman: I work through pain.

(From ‘Batman: Gotham Knights’)

Christopher McCandless: The sea’s only gifts are harsh blows, and occasionally the chance to feel strong. Now I don’t know much about the sea, but I do know that that’s the way it is here. And I also know how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong but to feel strong. To measure yourself at least once. To find yourself at least once in the most ancient of human conditions. Facing the blind death stone alone, with nothing to help you but your hands and your own head.

———-

Christopher McCandless: [written into book] Happiness only real when shared.

———-

Christopher McCandless: I read somewhere… how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong… but to feel strong.

(From ‘Into the Wild’)

The Joker: …You truly are incorruptible, aren’t you?…

(From ‘The Dark Knight’)

Stories are important, and living among them is even more important. Simplifies the process of growing up.

If you can go back into a comic book, that will be the best thing in your life.

When you live for the relish of challenges and the joy of crushing it with your palms, you will be making good use of your life.

When you assimilate the very notion of work, you become a professional.

When you unite various dimensions of life, you become a ‘pundit’.

When your spirit craves for excitement and adrenaline, you become an adventurer.

When you realize your few great qualities as a human being, you become complete.

And then you will learn about the sheer simplicity of life which makes it beautiful.
